Yoga creates balance between mind, body and spirit. To reequilibrate our bodies from the stress and one-sided movement or immobitity due to our working conditions, yoga is the most beautiful and relaxing answer. We reconnect to our breath by pranayama, work our flexibility and strength in asana practice and calm our mind in meditation. Yoga is a holistic practice that leads you back to you inner being - to your personal isle of calm and peace that is waiting to be (re)discovered.

Teacher

Hi, I am Maren. For over ten years, I have been practicing Hatha, Power and Ashtanga Yoga before applying for my Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Tandy Pengelly in 2019. Since 2020, I am certified yoga teacher by the World Yoga Alliance. My motivation is to share the relaxing and healing experience of yoga - as yoga has always been my source of happiness and energy.

Philosophy

In yoga, we follow the yamas and niyamas - personal and altruitic observances to grow and find our true destination while following the yogic path.  Nonviolence, truthfulness, non- stealing and generosity, the right use of energy, cleanliness, contentment, determination and connectedness are the some important aspects. Following the yogic path deepens the relationship with ourselves, with  life and every living creature.

For general safety 

You should only attend a yoga class if you feel healthy. If you have injury, pain, tensions, cardio-vascular or respiratory problems, please ask for a doctors advice and also tell the yoga teacher. Still, you are the only one responsible to your health - always practice yoga with care for yourself and never stretch or move in a way that makes you feel a sharp pain. Yoga lessons are no "medical therapy", so you need to be sensitive to your body's signals and never force yourself into any posture.

 

Due to Covid-19 ... 

Please never attend a yoga lessons with symptoms of cold, flu, sore throat, cough or fever. Neither if someone close to you has these symptoms - unless you have been tested with negative result). I follow the same precautions. So we care for each other.

My lessons take place in small groups so that everyone has a space of at more than 1,5meters around. I only take small groups of max. 4 people.

Please bring always your own mat.
